Identifying Your Child’s Illness
We are still in respiratory virus season, which can be stressful for parents of babies and young children. If you are worried about the respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), the first step is to take a deep breath. For most healthy children, RSV is like a cold. Testing for RSV does not change how you will care for your baby as it’s possible that they may have any number of other viral infections for which there may be no specific treatment. Check out the CPCMG Health Hub for more information about bronchiolitis (the infection caused by RSV) and other common childhood illnesses. If you have additional questions and concerns about your baby’s health, please reach out to your CPCMG provider.
