Celebrating CPCMG’S Advanced Practice Providers

If your family has ever been seen by a CPCMG Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner, then you already know about the high quality of care and compassion provided by Advanced Practice Professionals (APPs). This week CPCMG is recognizing and celebrating their contributions during National Advanced Practice Provider Week.

“At CPCMG, our APPs provide comprehensive care to all their patients. By handling nearly every task for patient needs, they greatly enhance access to medical care,” said Dr. Adam Breslow, president and CEO of CPCMG. “Many APPs have additional skills such as lactation education, mental health assessments, and performing video visits. Our group is much stronger because of them.”

Here’s what you need to know about APPs at CPCMG:

  • Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners have advanced education and training to assess, diagnose, treat, and manage illness and chronic conditions.
  • APPs can complete your child’s well visits, sick visits, and sports physicals.
  • All APPs complete continuing education requirements and regularly undergo a re-certification process.
  • APPs can prescribe medications and provide guidance on the best treatment plan for your child.
  • They can provide care for your child’s behavioral health and mental health needs, or address concerns you might have about your child’s development.

Other APPS include specially trained medical professionals including Certified Midwives, Clinical Nurse Specialists, and Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists who work in hospitals, emergency rooms, primary care clinics and other healthcare settings across the country.

At CPCMG, we encourage you to schedule your appointments with your preferred provider, including our NPs and PAs. Our dedicated group of board-certified APPs specialize in pediatrics because they love taking care of children of all ages and helping them live healthy and happy lives. Happy National APP Week!
